Campus placement · interview preparation
Practise the interview, not just the aptitude test
You have cleared the online test and the interview is what actually decides the offer — yet it is the one stage almost nobody rehearses out loud. Record your answer to each question, then check it against what the interviewer is really listening for and a full model answer. 28 questions across 4 rounds.
The four rounds
HR Interview
The round almost every candidate underestimates. Nothing here is technically hard, which is exactly why unprepared answers stand out so badly. Record each answer, then check it against what the interviewer is actually listening for.
Technical Interview
Fresher technical rounds test breadth of fundamentals plus depth on whatever you put on your resume. The questions below are the ones that recur across almost every IT service company, and each one names the trap that catches most candidates.
Managerial Round
The MR round is behavioural: how you handle conflict, slipping deadlines, ambiguity and work you did not choose. Answers work best in situation-action-result shape, drawn from things that actually happened to you.
Group Discussion
GD is assessed on how you contribute, not on winning. Practise opening with a frame, bringing one concrete fact, and conceding the strongest opposing point. You get one minute to prepare and two to speak, which is roughly a real GD's opening slot.
First, clear the online test
Nearly every recruiter shortlists on the same content — Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability and Coding/Pseudocode. Practise it once; it carries across drives.
Prepare by company
The real round order for the top recruiters, with each round linked to practice. Every drive differs and colleges negotiate their own formats — treat this as guidance and confirm the pattern with your placement cell.

Frequently asked questions
How is this different from a mock test?
A mock test has right answers and a score. An interview does not — it is judged by a human on how you reason, structure an answer and carry yourself. So instead of marking you, each question tells you what the interviewer is actually testing, lets you record your answer, and gives you a checklist plus a full model answer to judge yourself against.
Do I need a microphone?
Recording is the most useful part, because hearing your own filler words and hesitation is what changes them, and everything runs locally in your browser. But it is optional — you can read the question, answer aloud or in your head, and still use the checklist and model answer.
Is my recording uploaded anywhere?
No. Recordings stay in your browser for playback and are discarded when you leave the page. Nothing is sent to a server and nothing is stored.
Which round should I practise first?
HR, even though it feels like the easy one. Nothing in it is technically hard, which is exactly why unprepared answers stand out — 'tell me about yourself' and 'do you have any questions for us' are the two most commonly fumbled moments in the entire process.
Are these the exact questions companies ask?
These are the questions that recur across campus drives at the major IT recruiters, not a leaked question paper. Interviewers vary the wording, so practise the shape of a strong answer rather than memorising a script — a memorised answer is obvious within about two sentences.
