What is the Kerala PSC Pharmacist exam?
The Kerala Public Service Commission recruits Pharmacists (Grade II) for the state Health Services department and allied departments through an objective written test. It is a sought-after post for D.Pharm and B.Pharm holders who are registered with the state pharmacy council, because a strong rank on the objective paper can lead to a secure government pharmacist job in a hospital or health institution.
The selection runs through a single objective test whose score builds a ranked list; candidates on the list are then called in rank order for certificate verification and appointment as vacancies arise. The paper pairs a pharmacy subject part — pharmaceutics, pharmacology, drug classes, dosage forms, pharmacognosy and pharmacy law — with general parts on general science, general knowledge and current affairs, and language.
