What is the IIFT entrance exam?
The IIFT entrance exam is the gateway to the flagship two-year MBA in International Business (MBA-IB) at the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, a specialised institution set up to build India's foreign-trade and international-business expertise. The programme runs at IIFT's campuses in Delhi, Kolkata and Kakinada. The test is now conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) as a computer-based exam.
The paper spans four sections — Quantitative Analysis, Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, and General Knowledge & Awareness — taken in about two hours. What sets IIFT apart from many other MBA tests is its dedicated General Knowledge & Awareness section, which rewards steady reading on business, the economy and international trade. Sectional cut-offs mean you cannot ignore any one area, and negative marking rewards accuracy over guessing.
