About the DSSSB TGT/PGT/PRT exam

Recruits teachers for Delhi Government schools (Directorate of Education) and the local bodies — Primary Teachers (PRT), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT), Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) and Special Educators.

About DSSSB teacher recruitment

DSSSB recruits teachers for Delhi Government schools in many subject-wise advertisements. In 2026 the PGT examination for 432 posts was held on 15–16 July 2026, and applications for 1,417 TGT, PRT and Special Educator posts were invited from 16 June to 15 July 2026.

Every teaching paper shares the same Section A — general awareness, reasoning, numerical ability, Hindi and English — which is where these mocks focus.

How these mocks help

Section A carries half the marks and is identical across subjects, so it is the most reusable part of your preparation. These mocks follow its 20-20-20-20-20 split exactly, with authentic Hindi grammar and English usage questions.

Each of the 25 mocks has its own questions, and topic tests let you strengthen one area at a time.

How to prepare for DSSSB TGT/PGT/PRT

A proven, focused DSSSB TGT/PGT/PRT preparation method — from building strong fundamentals to peaking with full-length mocks.

  1. 1

    Don't neglect Section A

It is 100 of 200 marks and often decides the cut-off between candidates with similar subject scores.

  2. 2

    Prepare Hindi grammar systematically

Sandhi, samas, upsarg–pratyay, paryayvachi–vilom and muhavare make up most Hindi questions.

  3. 3

    Build English accuracy

Error spotting, synonyms/antonyms and voice/narration are quick marks with practice.

  4. 4

    Keep arithmetic sharp

Percentages, ratio, averages, interest and time & work dominate the numerical section.

  5. 5

    Revise Delhi and current affairs

General awareness often includes Delhi-related and recent events.

  6. 6

    Pace the full paper

Two hours for 200 questions — plan roughly 50 minutes for Section A in the real exam.

DSSSB teacher exam structure

TGT and PGT papers are one-tier tests of 200 questions in two hours. Section A (100 marks) is common general ability; Section B (100 marks) is the subject. One-fourth of a mark is deducted for each wrong answer. These mocks cover Section A in full.
