In the last major cycle (Advertisement 01/2025), CSBC recruited for 19,838 posts. The written exam was held in six phases in July–August 2025, the written result came on 26 September 2025 with 99,690 candidates qualifying for the PET, and the final merit list was released on 27 May 2026.

It is qualifying (minimum 30%); merit is decided by the Physical Efficiency Test.
